The Southwood Park Water District (SPWD) Board of Commissioners have entered into a contract with PACE Engineers Inc., to update the capital plan from 2010. PACE will do a water system evaluation, analysis and structural assessment of the water tank. Access to safe drinking water is essential to human health. The Board needs an expert to evaluate the infrastructure and help them prioritize what needs to be done and in what order. SPWD follows the Oregon Drinking Water Services (DWS) standards. The DWS administers and enforces drinking water quality standards for public water systems in the State of Oregon. DWS focuses resources in the areas of highest public health benefit and promotes voluntary compliance with state and federal drinking water standards.
